just applied! what are my chances?

<p>Applied ED to Wharton. Really wondering what shot I have, if any. Please take a look and tell me what you think. Any input is appreciated, thanks!</p>

<p>Here are my stats:</p>

<p>NJ, Hispanic male
competitive public school
top 10% of class
4.33W and 3.8UW
SAT: cr720 m730 w700 (2150)
SAT II: Bio 750 USH 680 MathII 670</p>

<p>Extracurricular Activities:
•Spanish Honor Society President- Inducted by receiving all A’s in 3 consecutive years of Spanish class and by taking AP level Spanish Language and Literature. As president I lead the meetings and organize our school-wide tutoring service.
•Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Vice President- Joined sophomore year and elected vice president for Junior and Senior years. Compete in regional business competitions and hear from influential speakers.<br>
•Key Club Treasurer and former Webmaster- Member of Key Club for all four years. I have accrued 60+ hours of community service through the club. Elected webmaster junior year and treasurer senior year.
•Water Polo Club- Helped support and start up new club the end of my junior year. We play weekly at our pool in pickup games of water polo.
•National Honor Society- Inducted by having qualified GPA, participating in extracurricular activities, and demonstrating leadership in school. Serve as a tutor to fellow students in need of assistance.</p>

<p>Sports:
•Golf Team Captain- Member for four years. Played varsity for grades 10, 11, 12. Captain for senior year. Compete in regular matches as well as various tournaments.
•Swim Team Co-Captain- Started swimming in 10th grade and made varsity by 11th. Earned most improved time award in 11th grade. Selected as boys co-captain senior year.</p>

<p>Volunteering:
•Autistic Sports Clinic- Volunteer for sports clinic created specifically to help autistic children improve social skills and athletic ability. Meets bi-weekly. I have been coaching for two years and 30+ hours.
•Swim-A-Thon- Two-time participant in 200 lap swim to raise money for a scholarship fund in the name of a deceased High School swimmer.
•Relay for Life- Fund-raised and walked in the event 9th grade.</p>

<p>Work:
•Caddie- Golf course caddie at Country Club for four years, earned ranking of “A” caddy. Provides good networking for the future.
•Bag Room staff- Serve at Country Club cleaning clubs, washing carts, greeting members for four years.
•Camp Counselor- Summer leading into freshman year, I worked five weeks of 20 hours for Recreation summer camp. </p>

<p>Awards:
•National Hispanic Recognition Program (NHRP) Scholar- Recognized among top 2.5% of 200,000 Hispanic PSAT takers in 2007.
•Honor Roll Student- Recognized by school for achieving consistent high marks.</p>

<p>Counselor Rec: Very good
Teacher: one is amazing the other is probably nothing special
Common App essay: interesting, unique. happy with it
why penn: teacher somehow told me I took a risk with it. dont see how its possible but..
p 217- shows some character. i really like it so did counselor</p>

<p>you have a decent shot. the only thing is that your math II is fairly low and your sats are decent. its up in the air for me.</p>

<p>For a minority, I think you have a great chance.
Though its a bit odd that your Math IIC isn't above 700, even though your SAT Math is.</p>

<p>I think you have a great shot, but Wharton is a stretch for everybody.</p>

<p>You're a very competitive candidate, but beyond that it's hard to say anything. (I hate that that's usually my response, but it's true.)</p>
