Just curious: Who else here is an incoming freshman?

Have you chosen housing yet? I just did today!

Hey.

I’m Theos, and I’m a freshmen at UF as well. I actually have already started(Summer B term).

Are you excited? Where are you dorming? I’m staying at Hume as of now, but will be at Lakeside in the Fall(unless I find something which better matches my tastes).

What are you majoring in?

I’m dorming in Mallory for fall, and I’m majoring in Biochem with a pre-med track, but I’m thinking of double majoring in Linguistics. What about you?

Oh, cool! I’m not 100% sure what I’m going to major in yet, but I’m going to try to double major in Biology and Psychology (Pre Med track also). I’m open to things though , but I decided to start off with those two fields as both were the subjects I liked the most in HS.

Biochem sounds like a good choice. What I noticed is that there’s an extremely large number of Pre Med trackers. :P

I am an incoming freshman too, I start in the Fall and will be staying in Jennings hall. I’m EXTREMELY excited. :D

I’m an incoming freshmen as well, but I think with my AP credit I could technically be labeled a sophomore. I’m staying in Springs and I’m quite excited.

Me too. I’ll be living in Trusler Hall. I plan on majoring in Environmental Engineering, but that is subject to change. Oh and I’ll be going to preview on Tuesday.

Hi! I’m Casey, and I’m also an incoming freshman :D, and I’ll be living at The Courtyards. I’m planning to double major in Anthropology and History, and my preview is the 13th-14th.

@CGymrek

I’ve got the same preview dates as you! Interestingly enough I’ve got a friend moving into The Courtyards as well this fall.

Haha, sweet! I’m so excited! Do you know anyone going to preview with you??

Yep, I’ve got two or three people I know coming. You?

I’ve got preview the 13th and 14th, too! I’m still trying to decide between Biology and Biochem with the premed track. I’m living off campus, though. I’ll be off 37th near the Walmart on Archer.

Wvebert,

we might end up being in the same group because I think all the pre-health professions stay together (My roommate alluded to this but I never flat out asked). I’m going into UF’s pre-pharm track myself.

It was surprising how many people at preview declared themselves Pre-Med, especially people who have no background in Chemistry or Calculus.

Let the weeding out begin.

On a better note, any other Beaty Tower people out there!

So true Ryan, so very true.

They’ll go from pre-med to pre-dentistry, then end up in a nice liberal arts major; citing “difference’s of opinion” with the med classes.

It’s hilarious to watch, really.

Well those going on the 13th and 14th haha if you meet a little blonde history lover named Casey that’s me :D. I have one of my friends going, and other friends that have gone have said that you’re split up randomly.

Woohoo!

I am currently an undergraduate freshman at UF and I currently live in Hume East. Next semester I will live in Mallory. :)

^^^what is mallory like?

There were a bunch of kids in my preview group that were saying they were leaning towards pre-med and after the advisors gave them the rundown that for about a 6-8 year period you will be working/studying for 80-120 hours per week and have no life, quite a few of the people decided they probably weren’t pre-med. The advisors did a good job at trying to scare people away from pre-med if they weren’t 100% certain.
