CONGRATS BABY GATORS!!!!!

Hopefully Hume…

If not, what are your backups?? I’m just curious!

I’d like to be in East for the engineering community.

Thanks!
I haven’t heard too much about it though ://

Yeah I’m really curious on what people think what dorms are the best for freshman. :)

Although I’m going into the engineering program, I think I will choose broward:]. (congrats to everyone btw)

If not Hume, East

Here is a great link from Chris R., a UF student, who put together this look at UF housing residence halls. He is the only one who devised this link…it cannot be found anywhere else. Some halls are missing, but most are here…take a look!
P>S> Broward is the best social, freshman dorm…closest to your classes, all freshman, recently redone windows, paint, flooring. my S who lives there now as a Freshman recommends it to everyone but hermits.

Hey, I was wondering what dorms would be good for a Computer Science major? I was looking at the Beaty Towers as an option. Are those good? I kind of like the idea of an apartment-like place with private bathrooms. Also, I’m not into getting wasted and partying like crazy…haha.

I am planning on East for the Engineering Community.

Also, I barely missed out on honors eligibility, so I will not be in the honors program.

It seems from the website that the honors program does not actually have too many benefits, but I was wondering, what will I be missing out on as a non-honors student?

After reading more about it, I don’t think East would be too bad.

I can’t decide on Jennings or Graham! :/

it seems that the best social dorms are broward, jennings and rawlings. i dont care about sharing a bathroom with a floor - its cheaper anyways, plus you get to make more friends. win-win situation lol

@ufucfbound: Jennings is best. Although Broward has the best location, Jennings is not too far from that area. It’s been recently renovated. I have been inside. Its really cool. My sister’s dorm room is pretty nice and the bathrooms aren’t that bad. I have also been in Broward since my sister’s bf lived there his freshman year. It’s really old and not as nice. Jennings is also really social.

I suggest no one live in an apartment style like Lakeside. I know a few people who regret it because they meet no one on their floor. People only interact with their roommates in those ones. I think Beaty is also like that.

Okay how is the window AC for jennings?

I’m looking into Broward/Jennings… I’ve read different reviews that Broward’s rooms aren’t terrible while others say they’re garbage.

Also, my only concern for Jennings is the distance from the rest of campus… is this a decent concern?

What do you guys think is the best dorm for a nursing major?

chinadoll jennings or beaty are close to shands.

heads up on Jennings no elevator. only a freight elevator for when you move in and out.

5 floors and guess where the freashmen end up? Broward is and always has been the animal house of dorms at UF. Even way back in the late 70s. Fun fun fun must study at the library. But location location location oh by the way did I mention location?
