Hi, I have just decided to apply to Upenn again. Well, during october, november, I decided to apply to Upenn but then dropped because Mum told not to. However, now mom and I decided to apply, we decided like 2days ago. I have essay done (did it like in november) and SAT and ACT scores sent already, app and supplement completed, but some problem with common app, soon to be resolved and then submit it. However, my transcripts and recs are not mailed at all, since I told school in november i am not going to apply there, so now I am worried that if I do apply, that I may not be able to considered at all because I did send my transcript or recs at all. What do I do, do I withdraw or what Pls help!!!

Your school will send your transcript/recs when you get back. Just tell them.
Penn won’t really care if they come a little late. They just want the Common App submitted by the deadline.

The jan 1 deadline is your deadline to submit everything. It is not your schools deadline. Just submit your app— you’re lucky you finished your essay early!
good luck

yeah about that, my app is completed everything, but somehow there is a problem with common app, as my app is still not submitted though I paid and clicked the submit button. I do not know what the problem is, maybe overload, but I can’t even contact the common app people. I am having such a terrible day but thanks for help. Appreciate it!!!

Hey! so i heard that some other peopl were having similar problems as well. Did you recieve an e-mail confirmation that you paid? If you got that, then you’re set.

It means you paid. But i know for some reason commonapp is processing this all slowly so it might not show up, and let you submit ur app but the trick that someone posted is, just select “fee waiver” option and it will let you proceed (even though you’re not using a fee waiver and you actually paid) so penn WILL recieve your money but this is a loophole that will let you also submit ur app since the commonapp hasn’t recogonized yet that you paid.

Does that make sense? So basically, in the payment section, just select “fee waiver” option and then hit submit!

Good luck :)

Okay, but i did not receive a notification but when i checked the receipt of my card, it said that there was a $75 transaction and there is another problem that I failed to mention earlier. when I open my uploaded essay I tried opening it to just check, but then I saw nothing, it was blank and then I uploaded again and the samething. Oh God, this is just taking the life out of me. I just want to know something, what will happen if I send in my application tomorrow? does it get rejected or they will take my money but then not consider my application at all

with the essay thing make sure you scroll down all the way… they put it at the end of the file that is your application. if you’re still having issues, call admissions next week. they understand that nothing (not even the common app website or anxious high schoolers) is perfect. :P

SO they will consider my application or not because if they don’t I might as well drop this Upenn Application

Hi, someone help me. the damn common app is not working and I have already filled out the paper application and I am mailing it to them today. Well they accept my application at all, Or should I also keep trying again. This is happening to three of my app: Upenn, Harvard and Duke ARRGHHHH I hate this pls help me!!! What do I do?? Do these colleges ever going to even consider my application???
