I think the only thing bothering me is the social aspects; Purdue has 30000 students, but I doubt St. Louis college of pharmacy has more than 1000.. am I wrong probably?

The OP's logic is seriously dissapointing to me, in 20 years he/she will realize what a mistake he or she is making in basing such huge decisions on factors that are, without NO excuses, irrelevent. I agree with citygirlsmom and others who have tried to explain this in a more in-depth manner, but honestly, crazy indian you have to sit down and think things out first, not only are pharmacy and engineering on totally different points of the career continium, but your choice to choose these majors (esp your lil pro/con salary list, etc) is just plain pathetic. Furthermore, the fact that you ARE in America and realize the opportunities to do what YOU want to do are there, and are still under the mentality of the majority of our ancestors is eye-shocking.

simply put man...the salary your major will bring to you in several years or the prestige of your future college shouldn't be a factor, and although prestige tends to be a factor for many students, for you it seems like it will ultimately hurt you since you are so inclined to figure out how you will make the most money and be in the elitist class.., it will back-fire, you must sit down and think things through.

So your values should be his values.................I see how that works.

Wow.. I'm not a rock, I have values and feelings also. The list with pros/cons was a list based mainly on money, location, and family, the only thing I hold of real importance in that list is prestige and job outlook. I've ultimately decided to do engineering at Purdue, and I know what my future is. If these factors are irrelevant in the future, what is? Will it not matter how much money I have to pay off, how much money I will make, etc? I've already said I love chemistry, biology, and math, and these are the things mainly involved in both majors. I've sat down and thought that I wouldn't like pharmacy, so that's over with. You think I wouldn't have done that? I even said earlier that this post was to get a small consensus of views from different people. If not these values placed under both colleges, what values should be placed in order to make a choice? ??
