Just got in - what should I do for housing?

I just found out yesterday I got in as a junior transfer. I'm most likely going to attend so I wanted to get some info on housing. I'd probably be looking off-campus so any info would be appreciated such as specific areas, what resources I should use (im on craigslist for now), etc etc. Thanks for the help!

Undergrads in Off-Campus Housing:
38%

Best Time to Look for a Place:
Second semester for apartments, and during the summer for houses.

Average Rent For:
Studio Apt.: $700/month
1BR Apt.: $850/month
2BR Apt.: $1000/month

Popular Areas:
Gables on Clairmont, Arbor Hills on North Druid Hills, Calibre Woods on Lavista, Highland Square on Briarcliff

Clairmont is pretty nice, but a lot of people also live at Highland Lake apartments and Gables; gables is a little more expensive. If you do get a single apartment it will be around 1000 dollars a month with utilities at both of these places.

I second the North Druid Hills area - it might not be the most luxurious, but it's more affordable than Gables.
