Just got my housing...

And I got an Oxford Double non-smoking dorm. I also picked the Unlimited Plus meal plan. Basically I have a few questions.

How is the dorm in general (space, bathroom etc.)?

What does the Unlimited Plus enable me to do (eat whenever and how much ever I want?)?

Is there are gym close by and is it of good quality (dumbbells exceeding 100lbs, olympic bars, bench machines, squat racks etc.)?

Any information is greatly appreciated!

I heard the rooms at Oxford are the best…heard they r pretty much the biggest nicest most homey style dorms on campus

I’m not sure about the actual rooms, but the location kinda stinks (off campus by the frat houses, which could be a good thing too I guess). This area is probably the most dangerous part of campus, so watch your back. I remember a lot of crime alerts in this area, including muggings, shootings, and TOM, The Oxford Masturbater. You’re probably around 10-15 min walk away from the hill area, which includes the CCRB (gym). It’s kinda old and dungeon like inside, but there’s plenty of equipment to use.

The unlimited plus plan allows you to swipe into the dining halls as many times as you want during dining hours. Once you swipe in, anyone can eat as much as they want. I think the difference between the unlimited plan and the unlimited plus plan is that you get more blue bucks and dining dollars with the plus. Anyways, unless you plan on eating 3 meals + everyday, I’d recommend saving your money and going with the 150 or 125 plan. I’m sure you’ll end up eating out some days, or getting food with dining dollars/blue bucks. Worst case scenario, I’m sure you’ll have friends with plenty of extra meals willing to swipe you in if you run out.

The CCRB isn’t a far walk from Oxford as far as gyms go. For the meal plan, I’d go lighter than you’d think. Dorm meals get old fast; you’ll probably want to eat out, use your BlueBucks for some food, etc. And especially toward March/April area, some people have upwards of 200 meals left on their plan and are willing to swipe people in. 125 or 150 would be smartest
