Just got my letter - REJECTED!

I think Cornell is releasing RD decisions early because the very foreseeable surge of applicants checking their decision on Thursday. It happened for quite a few years as far as I know, basically the entire school site slowed down and it was impossible to log on until well after midnight.

Darn I wanted my decision before I go away, I got excited for a second there!!!! That letter is making me sad though because I know I'll be seeing it soon enough...oh well, we're too cool for Cornell anyway :D

or maybe... it's a sign that you got in because u didn't get a letter?

lol...I wish, but I reckon they are only sending letters to international peeps before the first

so they're sending them to a large radius and inclosing it? well... at least u'd be the last to know if it's true... good luck still

As an international, I'm now nervously awaiting tomorrow's post... :)

what's happening tomorrow?

For the people who had the audacity to ask this guy fro a SCAN of the letter...you're a bunch of vultures. Sheesh, have some compassion.

lol...college can turn anyone into a vulture :)

did you just say sheesh?

argh!!! what's happening tomorrow?!!!!!

If you can read, you might have realized that internationals are already receiving their letters...thus, homeboy stated that because he's international, he's eagerly awaiting tomorrow's mail. :) Calm down! Haha

Mcortex.

I think that Nick04 was speculating that as an international student he may even recieve his decision letter in tomorrows mail ("post")

Wharf

i wonder if he got a thin envelope?

Looks like the effervescent NickyJane beat me to the punch!

the more i read in to this letter, the more i doubt the authenticity of this post. As we exam this letter closely, we should find at the end of the first paragraph, it should read :Cornell University rather than Cornell, and again, in 2nd paragraph, i couldn't help noticing the parallelism grammatic error and there are a few other things that seem to have been copied from other rejection letters. I don't know... The more i read it, the more iffy i get, i can almost 99% say this isn't a "cornell rejection"!!

i second that

"Certainly your academic record, personal information, and supporting materials indicate that you have much to contribute to a college community. However, as the number of well qualified and highly recommended applicants to the unversity has...."

the first part says you have much to contribute to a community college but the following sentence begins with however and refers to cornell. there isnt a connection.

why would you fake a rejection letter?

It probably seems bizarre to us because ynos was an international applicant. There is a different process, and if they were notified earlier, it's very likely the letter is different than something candidates in the US might recieve.

Best of luck to you, ynos. Your stats are great and I'm sure there is much better news to come. I give you international students a lot of credit!

it says college community... maybe it means a college "community" not community college?
