So I'm on the phone with them like right now and they said "most of them have NOT been sent out yet, pay no attention to the status."

"Pay no attention to the computer." HAHAHA!

"You will hear within the next two weeks." AHHHH!!!!

"The status is to show if you are missing something." GOOD!!!

That was a conversation I had with an admission's counselor from USC. Sorry for posting this twice, but I thought you should all know!

Peonyandocean also called the office and this is what he/she (sorry :P) found out:

Sheer Reflection is right. I actually just got off the phone with a representative asking about that and she said that acceptances are still being sent out daily, and that they will go into April as well. She also said that the status update has NOTHING to do with your admissions decision as well. She said to just wait it out to arrive in the mail.

Edited: She also mentioned CC and said to not listen to what people were saying on here And she told me to tell you guys so I made an account to do so ^.^

So we both heard nearly the same exact thing. I think this is a great sign for those who haven't heard back yet. Be optimistic!

And they’re probably reading this site and getting a kick out of our ridiculous theories…the other college boards I’ve been on never really tried to analyze the date of acceptances with a status update or anything :P

aww man, i was starting to feel confident that i would get in after status update, now not so much… damn…

though i got a link to check for missing documents on my status, but i didnt have any missing documents… wierd. hopefully its still a good sign. i need good news after being unofficially rejected by ucla…

(…any other old-timers here chuckling and thinking: we’ve been trying to tell this year’s applicants that status means nothing about chances and most acceptances go out close to April 1?)

Good luck to all- I’m partial to CC’ers so I hope you all get in!
