I'm really pleased with them (80 points higher, a 2310). Anyway, I was wondering if there would be any benefit in sending them to Yale, even though I've already been accepted. Someone on the Yale admit boards was saying that they might use them to pre-admit people into special programs like DS.

So should I send them or not? I don't think there's really any reason to do so, but what do you guys think?

If you consider the cost trivial, send it in! If not, don't worry about it. I'm fairly certain it is used to preadmit people to programs (although you can still apply even if you aren't chosen) .

[It also helps Yale's rankings when their median SAT scores are higher!]

Test scores are probably a category used in preadmission to DS and PS, but they're not the only category. They probably weigh your essay, academic interests, and extracurricular activities much more than test scores. I'm pretty sure because of personal experience.

But if you don't care about the cost, send them in.

What were your originals, by section?
I'd send them in, since they could affect something, and it's better they know your higher scores, regardless.
Congrats on Yale!!
