I was thinking maybe if i am really lucky UCSD-and UCD, but what about UCSB, UCI, UCR, UCM? Just be honest. thanx

Sadly you did best on the writing, which doesn't count in the UC rubric because they are sceptical about how the essays are being graded (almost no colleges look at the writing scores at this point.) That means your real SAT scores are 1290/1600. I can't remember if UC takes the ACT. If they do, take them. If not, get Grammatix and study over the summer, then see how you do on the SATs in the fall.

Writing counts at Ucs (they are the ones who insisted college board add it), boyle, you are posting on threads you know nothing about. Agree with flopsy.

You shouldn't be worried about getting into the middle-tier UC's with your stats. I'm guessing you come from a very competitive school because your stats are very strong.

My school is a very competitive high school in north county san diego. But i am not too worried about UCSB and UCI etc. But i think it would be awesome to go to UCSD. So, I am just crossing my fingers. I guess people are getting in with low stats, but some denied with super high stats. Go figure. By the way, my UC gpa is only a 3.8, and i think the average is something like a 4.03. so i think it is gonna be a reach.

Well, just know that I've heard of some miserable experiences from UCSD commuters, mostly due to the boredom they face at college because they're outsiders from the residential population of UCSD. I live in San Diego (University City area), and I never considered UCSD for that reason.
