I transferred schools for my junior year and I'm about to start grade twelve. Unfortunately, class sizes at my new school were just huge, I missed quite a few days because of extracurriculars, and so I didn't get a chance to really develop a personal relationship with many of my teachers. I knew the teachers really well at the school I was at before, so I was wondering if I should ask them for a recommendation instead? Or should I spend the first few weeks of senior year just trying to get closer to my current teachers? I'm applying early action so the deadline worries me a bit

Recommendations from teachers from your prior school would be more appropriate. Colleges will understand. Good luck.

Did you transfer when you were a junior? If so, then you should get the LORs from your new school. If you just started at your new as a senior then you can get letters from your old school. If you went to another school from 9-11 then you probably should get the transcript from your old school, as well as their school profile.

My younger kid transferred when she was junior. Her old school’s transcript was normalized for her new school, so she only sent in one transcript. She also had her new teachers write the LORs. Adcoms want LORs from your junior/senior teachers because high schoolers change so much in those 4 years.
