Why do so many applicants wait until the last minute to submit their applications? I’m not trying to start an argument or anything, just wondering what the reasoning is behind waiting until a minute before the deadline.

i honestly work better under the pressure of an immediate deadline. if all my projects for school were due a day after they were given i would probably never have turned anything late in ever because i would HAVE to do them immediately.

Pressing submit scares me. I probably could've sent in apps to at least 7 of my 12 schools at the beginning of this week, but instead I haven't submitted any, because I want as much time as possible to work through them and make sure they're perfect. And besides, it doesn't exactly matter when you submit them, so long as they're in on time.

well... I figure it like this: when u take a test, and u finish before the time's up, u still do stuff like checking your work, right? It's bascially the same thing with apps. I had them done, but then I just keep editing stuff, and there's always something new u see

Not that I am applying to Brown, but I left all my apps until last minute... I don't know if I necessarily work better under pressure, but without the pressure, I am not motivated to write the essays.

heh. my mom and i were up until 330 AM on nov1 going over the last bit of my essays... and there were still grammatical errors and i forgot a really important line in my resume
