Just Sent in for Housing, Where Will I Be?

If I sent in on Sunday, I lost my priority number right? So I won't get any of my 3 top selections, then? I've heard if I found a roommate, that I take his priority but is this true? I don't wanna screw a friend if he signed up on time and I didn't and he gets stuck with a dorm w/o A/C or 3 people in a 4 person.

Would I be best to just forget about it and see where UF places me and with whom? aka I'm screwed ha..

Thanks!

For fall/spring it goes by whoever has the best priority date. For summer, it goes by the latest date.

How sure are you? Is that online anywhere else?

100% positive… This should clear everything up:
[Room Selection - UF | Housing & Residence Education](http://www.housing.ufl.edu/liveon/roomselection.php)

If not, let me know and I will be glad to help :)

Alright sweet, thank you! I need to find a roommate now!

haha yeah roombug is very helpful in situations like this. My housing number was horrible but I found a roommate so Im set.

Not to take anyone’s thread…but I have another housing related question. If I selected room type as my #1 preference and picked Hume, can I still request a roommate? I’m hoping since Hume is guaranteed for Honors students anyway I should be able to request one

For fall, you get to actually go in and pick the room you want. Before, they had you pick preferences and then would pick the room for you. Now you get to do it yourself do the preferences do not matter. Im not sure why they still make us pick preferences then. But, to answers your question, yes you can still request a roommate.

Students still pick preferences because if the occasion comes that a student doesn’t choose a room during their alloted time or aren’t chosen by someone else the university just uses your preferences to attempt to place you if there’s anything left
