Just submitted SIR, a few questions

Can I set up my @ucla.edu E-mail address to forward to Thunderbird or another email account I use more often?

Is there a gym available for students to work out? Will it cost extra money?

?

Wooden Center - Cost is factored into URSA Bar Account = what you use to pay for Fall/Winter/Spring tuition. Really great gym across from Ackerman and next to Ashe.

Yes. I POP mine to gmail.

Gym membership is included in tuition

Gmail FTW. I will restate again and again that I see haters at the gym too much. Aside from the main gym, wooden, most of the housing buildings have their own mini gym too.

$15/month, no extra fees. The exercise rooms on the hill are worst than the exercise rooms at hotels.

Thanks for the quick replies. I have another question:

Our family cellphone plan with Verizon expires in September and we are able to switch carriers and/or get new phones. I would prefer to tag along with my parents’ family share plan to save some money. I’m just wondering which cellphone carrier has the best coverage in the LA area.

verizon actually seems pretty good.
my roomie last year had sprint and NEVER had problems.

DO NOT go with AT&T. my other roomie and i had lots of problems last year, and depending on how good/bad your phone is, it’s really iffy. plus i get zero reception in rieber vista/terrace.

AT&T is fine with me. 5 Bars.

lucky you.
but i’ve got more dead areas than other people, and last year my phone kept hanging up on me every minute. they couldn’t tell me why. i think it was their way of making me get a new phone!

Hahaha

I know T-mobile sucks though. I hate calling my friend who has it. I get cut-off every other time.

T-mobile is bad in same areas, such as De Neve. Otherwise, it works perfectly fine for me.

"sometimes it’s black, sometimes it’s white, sometimes she’s wrong, sometimes i’m right, sometimes we talk about it or we figure it out, and then she just changes her mind…

…every other time"

sorry, i am very much procrastinating :)

WHEN t-mo has reception, its usually great. not choppy even with 1 bar.

at&t can get choppy at low reception, but overall has more coverage than tmo.

havent had much experience using VZW, but it has its share of dead spots just like any company. (for example VZW is dead in PAB when i have full bars with ATT)

no experience with sprint, but it should be close to vzw since they can roam on each other when their native network has no reception.

if your fam has been happy with VZW then stay and just get new phones. if not, then perhaps try ATT.

about the email, yes you can. UCLA provides IMAP or POP access so you can use thunderbird/outlook/OS X Mail/etc to access it.

hahahahaha LFO!
