i applied to all of the schools in SoCal. My safety is UCSB - transfer agreement. My dream is UCLA. Then there is UCSD for the simple fact my best friend goes there. And then I applied to UCI and UCR just for the heck of it. I'm glad it's finally over! Now I can finish up on my American Lit. essay, Philosophy essay, and Statistics project. Woohoo! GOOOO college!! gah!

Omg, I hit send and the receipt came up at either 12:00 or 12:01. The date said 12/01/04 instead of 11/30/04! It said that my application was successfully submitted, but does that mean that they won't consider it late? The date is for 12/01, which is why I'm so worried. The website said that all apps have to be in by 11:59pm. They'll still accept it, right?

You should call the help center thing. I don't think it will matter. They sent me an email saying I could submit my essay seperately by 12/01 at 11:59pm if I was unable to enter it thru the website. So it seems that they are pretty reasonable about it.

what in the world are you guys doing up at 4 AM?

^^oh, yeah, different time zones. Duh.

Re: corrections after the fact - FYI, I actually called the applications office to find out. We proof-read my daughter's application about a dozen times, and when I was reviewing the receipt I noticed a mistake in her community service hours. She posted 5 hours a week for 6 weeks when she actually worked 20 hours/week for 6 weeks as a volunteer in a nursing home. The person I talked to (the office, surprisingly, is actually in our town - who knew!) said NO PROBLEM! We were told to send a letter making the correction, which would essentially be an addendum to her application.

I don't think this would work for typos, but if you've omitted something important I'm sure they'd accept a revision.

So does anyone have proof from experience that we can change the app online??

bump prophasi's q

socmom: do you remember the number of the applications office?
