Just took a W in calc, do I need to notify now?

Title says it all, I chose to withdraw at the last minute, is it like dropping and I need to notify all the schools I applied to? Or will they just find out when I send transcripts. I assume I need to let them all know individually?

they'll find out when you send them ur xscripts

They will find out when you send them your transcripts. But Im assuming they will be less then thrilled, especially if u needed it for ur major or taking it to fulfill a general math requirement.

without question, let them know.
make corrections at the uc update page, and then notify campuses individually. some of them, like davis, only require that you make the changes on the uc update page, but some don't. if you want to be safe, mail them all.

Same thing happened to me. I individually wrote to berk, ucla, and sb telling them that i wont be able to take it and even to change my major if my admission is dependent upon that pre-req being completed.

I changed the classes on the transfer update form, is that enough? Is it mandatory to write letters to the school? I applied to irvine, la and berkeley?

Let them know...if you wait to send your transcripts you could end up screwing yourself if they decide to rescind admissions after the deadline to submit your SIR to other schools.

what content do I need to include in the letter? and Where do I send it?

The same thing happened to me.. I withdrew from my calc class in the middle of february. I e-mailed Cal and LA and asked what I needed to do and both counselors said to update it on the UC pathway update form. For LA, you need to also send them an e-mail. Go to this website: it'll tell you what you need to do
UCLA Undergrad Admissions: Reporting Changes
*Note for Cal: you can choose not to email them/or update it... it's fine. BUT after you are accepted you have to notify your regional counselor and tell him/her.

As for UCSD, you NEED to send them an e-mail ASAP. Ask your counselor for the e-mail address.

Hope that helps! Good luck. I think you and I should be fine! ;)

oh and in your e-mail. include things like: what term you applied to, your major, UC App #... i don't remember the other ones (it should say on the website)

thanks for all the help! I emailed them already and hopefully I still get in =)
