so i took the sat today and i am really confident in everything esp my writing section
however i messed up on the essay and only wrote two paragraphs that filled to about a page.. does anyone know what score that would come out to? this is really bothering and worrying me because i feel like i lost easy points on the essay because of bad time management. any help would be appreciated..thank you!

Depends, if you wrote a great essay with a coherent intro, body, conclusion, you should still get a good score (8-10, 12 is very unlikely). If I remember correctly my essay was only a little more than a page and I got an 8 on it. I really dislike the fact that essay length and score are really correlated :/

It really depends on how well written it was and what examples you used, but 2 paragraphs and just over a page probably wont get you anything higher than an 8. I took the May SAT, wrote a page and a half and had four paragraphs and ended up with a 7. It’s really hard to tell until scores come back.

As rspence said, even if wrote a fabulous essay, you would get a max of 8-10 depending on the quality. Unfortunately, essay length and score are highly interrelated on the SAT.

probably a 8 or 9 essay if it had good content but for next time, length is key.

sigh i see… thanks guys!
