<p>My interpretation is that the first time something historical (idea, person/archetype, etc.) comes up, there’s an actual test of whether it’s right or not, whether people can stomach it, whether it will actually work. The second time around, it’s already been decided and you just look sort of weird. People scratch their heads at you and give you no notice.</p>
