does it look bad if you retake a moderately high scores (yes it is for colleges like HYPS:D Don't you dare make fun of me!)

I got a 720 on US and I was considering retaking that, along with mathii which I got a 770 on:(

and then I am retaking my SAT because I got a 2310...

will it look bad? and I am not looking for criticism, I am honestly asking...

"does it look bad if you retake a moderately high scores"

^ The sentence fragment is hard to understand

no, it wouldn't look bad because to me its already a high score and why would getting a higher score look bad? Now, on the other hand, getting a high score the first time and a low score the second time around will look kinda silly. They expect that you will study more and improve

You can also cancel SAT scores too if it makes you feel any better

can't you only cancel before getting your score? after that all the tests you have taken goes to the college

ok, I would not retake that SAT, because 2310 will not keep you out of any school, and a 2400 will not push you over the hump more than a 2310 will.

My friend retook a 690 SATII in history and got a 720. 770 is already a high score, but if you feel as if you need to retake it for pride (and sending free scores to 4 extra schools) you may do so, but it will have little impact on if you are admitted or not. What will matter more at this point will be your grades, and the non-numerical aspects to your application. Ask for your recommendations early, and put a lot of time and effort into your essays. Don't worry about these numbers, they are already exceptional.
