Can someone please explain the admissions process into the Kelly School of Business? Is it separate from admissions into IU? I read on the site that students with a SAT score over 1270 two part receive automatic admission. I have a 1310 two part, so does that mean I am guaranteed admission into KSB? Since it appears that the application process is separate from the university as a whole, does that mean that business classes start later?

Admission to the Kelley School of Business starts with your application to IU. If you mark Business as your intended major on your application, meet the minimum GPA and ACT/SAT scores you will be directly admitted to Kelley.
Just adding to Wistfull thinking above, your acceptance from IU would come first - and if you qualify you will receive notification of acceptance to the business a few weeks later.
