So how selective do you guys think Kent is ? I'm just wondering because when I apply next year, It's my favorite school and I would prefer to go there than to any of the HADES but I'm just wondering how selective is it because I really want to go there lol ;)

If you really want to go—why selectivity matters?

If you want stats—why not google “kent acceptance rate”?

I’m wondering if I would be a strong applicant for Kent.

But googling Kent Acceptance Rate doesnt give anything relevant but thanks anyways.

Ok so after looking around, I saw that the approximate acceptance rate is around 30-40% but it’s dratically dropping.

48% admit rate according to the Peterson’s. It could’ve dropped this year.

48%?! ahhh I thought it was much lower.

Why does it matter so much? Selectivity is a reflection of how many apply (i.e. the popularity of a school). It does not necessarily reflect upon the quality of the school and whether or not it is a good fit for you.

Agreed (ten char)

OP was just asking for that piece of information maybe to get a sense on how competitive the admission is. It is what it is and not a verdict of the quality of the school

Kent is a very good school and they have really good college matriculations and a really cool student body, great academics and athletics. So as keylyme said acceptance rate does not reflect the quality, I was just wondering to see if it was as competitive as the HADES schools.

what grade r u applying for swissbrit?

I agree, Swissbrit; Kent is a great school. Best of luck to you!

Ohh well bookluver, i applied to andover and got rejected[ low isee score] interviewer and adcom both told me that they thought I was a good fit and they really wanted me to come but with my ISEE score,it was not possible . Anyways I’m thinking of applying as a repeat 9th Grader next year…

Ohh and neato, thanks for the support. Didn’t your son get accepted to Kent ?

Yes, he did. He has chosen Exeter, however. But he really liked Kent. The downside of only applying to schools you would love to attend is that if you are admitted to more than one, it makes the decisions harder.

Is kent very religious?

I mean you have to go to chapel on sunday so idk if that’s what you consider religious then yes.

swissbrit-okay.

but isn’t chapel more like a morning meeting type thing?

i think so, like sunday is more of chapel i think, but the other days are more morning meetings…i think.
