This is going to sound stupid, but when they say fly-in, does that mean you must literally get on an airplane and go, or do you have an option to drive?

I am from Lexington, VA...home of washington and lee and VMI. I'm not sure about Kenyon yet. My top choice right now is Williams, but I am currently on the waitlist. I have also been accepted at UVA, Vanderbilt, Sewanee, W&L, Haverford, Denison, and Boston College. I guess i'll have to start making some decisions. Nevertheless, Kenyon is a wonderful school and there probably is a good chance I will go there. Tell your daughter I said hey and good luck.

Can you tell me what sets Kenyon apart as a wonderful school than the other ones which you have got in?? As you say that there is a good chance of you coming to Kenyon, what is the best factor of Kenyon which made your chances of attending Kenyon more probable???

I probably shouldn't have said there is a 'good' chance of me going there...and there really isn't just one thing that sets it apart. First of all, they are offering me a scholarship of 28 grand; secondly I have a lot of family around that part of Ohio, and thirdly they have a great science department. As I said before though, Williams is my top choice so I am going to do everything I can to get off the waitlist.

Best of Luck with Williams!!

I was accepted as a distinguished scholar, too (I don't play soccer)...I'm still trying to make my decision, though. I'm also really interested in Oberlin, Middlebury, Reed, Bard, and Harvard, all of which have accepted me :) Any advice?
