so first things first: i have gotten admitted into UCSD
now the question: does UCSD look at absences,etc.. like will they reject me if i have a loto f absences.. so far i have only 5... but i'm getting the next 4 days excused by my parents... can UCSD reject me or will they just not care??

kinda a weird question, but i got mixed results from a google search

They don’t matter. Just don’t let your grades slip because of the absences.

No… I don’t think they get to see your attendance records, unless you have something outrageous on your record like truancies.

I had something around 30 truancies to 1st period my senior year of HS. I ****ing hated waking up for school @ 730 and would always be like 5-15 minutes late. I had a ‘U’ in citizenship and got saturday school one time…nothing happen that affected college. It doesnt matter.

i think absences or attendance related things in high school only pertain to high school.
i.e. you can’t graduate/walk if you have too many

but college doesnt look at that. they basically only see your transcript, sat/ap scores, and whatever else you submit yourself…i think

Most classes don’t take attendance, but there are some that require you to go to discussions or “click in” to lectures with iclickers (remote controls you use to take quizzes or answer polls in class).
