i am not admitted yet but i already know for sure that i want to live in an all girls dorm. i hated hardin house when i visited a friend who lives there last year and though srd is AMAZING i just dont have that kind of cash...so i have my mind set on just having a regular on campus dorm in either kinsolving or littlefield. does anyone have experience living in either or know stuff about either? all i know is that kinsolving is much bigger, and has the dining hall + littlefield is more for honors freshman girls. i like littlefield's rooms better than kinsolving's (the beds in kinsolving are those same stupid couch/beds they have in jester) buttt kinsolving is bigger, about 750 girls to where its not as big as jester but still big enough for my preferences. i plan on visiting if i get in of course but itd be nice if anyone could give me any extra info. THANKS.

Littlefield is in the Honors quad, which are the most social dorms on campus, by my understanding. You'll have a chance to interact with guys who live in the other Honors dorms, which I think you'll like. Lots of people who live in Littlefield their freshman year continue to live there their 2nd-4th years, which is almost unheard-of at UT. I'm sure Kinsolving is great, too, but the Honors dorms really have an incredibly social atmosphere. Also, if you like the rooms better at Littlefield, that's a really important consideration. Plus, Littlefield is close enough to Kinsolving that it's not a big deal to walk to the cafeteria--it's literally just across the street.

The room we saw in Littlefield was so tiny that you could not possibly have put two beds on the floor - they had to be bunked. Is that typical or was this an unusually small room?

How many choices do you get to list on your housing preferences form?
