so i have a friend who knows that her friend cheated on the SAT. he told her himself that he cheated off of her in the critical reading and grammar sections. my friend doesn't want to be a snitch but i don't want him to be unpunished. he got a 2140 because he cheated. she would only tell collegeboard if she can be anonymous. is there any way for her to tell them anonymously? she will say this person cheated off of this other person (she will include names) but she wants to represent that third unknown party basically.

please help me out. it's seriously ridiculous.

Unless you have proof; don’t bother. Anybody can say, “He told me he cheated.” With that being all you have, collegeboard will do absolutely nothing.

If you have proof, though, go for it. A cheater doesn’t deserve a good score.

^Very interesting? Collegeboard is too into making money to care. For real though, if you dont have solid evidence than your out of luck. heck, i could say the guy who sat next to me, who i really despise, cheated off my paper. Will they believe that? Would you believe that? Even if the answers were the same, maybe their just equal smartness. I don’t think you could jump (albeit a small one) to conclusions just because your answer sheets are the same. Wait cheated on the grammer section??? does this include the essay??? because then you would have solid proof.

if they have mostly the same answers (esp on grid-in and essay) it might be considered proof. also, i dont think collegeboard would be willing to delve this deeply into the situation, but if he did well on the math part and they check his answer booklet and see he had down absolutely no work, it could be evidence?
it sucks that collegeboard probably won’t care, but i think your friend should at least tell his/her school counselor about it (maybe leave a note or shoot her an email saying she wants to remain anonymous) because i think the counselor would either force him to cancel his scores or, at least there would be consequences.

i mean i definitely would be PO-ed if a guy cheated and got a pretty good score, so id say at least let a counselor know.

Chill out? How am i supposed to chill out if this person cheated to improve his SAT score? The person not dumb. The person has a lot going for him/her like leadership, sports, and etc. This person may very well be taking an admissions spot from a student who actually deserves it. This person is also infamous for cheating but sadly, no teachers have caught the person.

^Great Point. You deserve a gold star for day, no really you do. He makes a wonderful point, this whole thing could backfire on her, and both of their scores could be canceled. Low probability of this happening, but still a possibility.

Get over it and move on. If he continues to cheat, eventually it will watch up to him and he’ll fall from grace. If he ends up successful, then more power to him: he knows how to play the game.

my friend took the sat the other day, and the kid next to him cheated of of him on every question. They have identical answer sheets. He thinks he got a 2400, It is both their first times taking the test. Will collegeboard be suspicious and cancel their scores or are they both fine
