so where do u think i should look this summer?? THANKS!!

I'm sure your story is interesting, but if you were raised going to good private schools in the US, you'll probably be treated pretty much like everyone else.

You don't say what you want to study, but you should be looking at schools in the Colgate, Colby, UMich, Vandy range with current stats. That's assuming you're in top 20% of class.

I agree. Don't try and depend on the orphan "status"..while it is a hardship in one way or another, it's not a life crushing event as if a parent passed away or etc. You could mention it, but don't try to depend on it, as this will only look bad.

yea i consider myself a twinkie, but i thought i'd throw that out there.... yea i was hoping for a more ivyish response.. but yea i'm going to study really hard for SAT's and then take a PR calss.. so hopefully that will help out a bunch... also, my school is so demanding so my GPA and stuff really can't be compared to other schools... we don't' really do class rank either and since we dont weight it's really stupid because i have had the hardest classes in my whole high school career in my grade, but i'm not relaly rewarded for it.. but yea my classes r adv.+AP spanish all 4 years, adv.+AP chem, adv.+AP physics, adv.+AP Math all 4 years, Ap english lit, Ap econ (both), AP Us and Euro, engineering.....any more suggestions??
