My friend is deciding between two universites for undergraduate school before he goes to Med School. I think he likes both campi, and locations, but he is not sure which would better suit his med school application process. It is a concern of his that UMass will be more competitive and will therefore make him appear to be a worse student to med schools (ranking or something). He is thinking about the 5 year MBA program at KU, i am not sure if UMass has this, or chemistry. If you have information on which major and university would best suit a hopeful future anesthesia doctor, please help.

I don’t see any point to the 5-year MBA at all for a premed. With that said, I recommend KU (I assume you mean Kansas) highly. Don’t know much about UMass.

yes, kansas, thankyou! I will relay it to him

Is he in-state for either one? Not sure it’s worth paying OOS tuition for one over the other. I don’t know much about KU, but he can certainly get a good pre-med education at UMass (and it has its own med school).

He has been staying with me in kansas, but he does not get an in state tuition because his parents live in Norway. btw, I did not mention that it is UMass Amherst he is considering. It seems as though people know either about UMass or KU, but few can compare them. Either way it is very helpful thankya’ll for helping and any1 else who will.

As you may know, Lawrence is a great college town! KU also has it’s own, well respected med school. Rock chalk!
