L.C. Smith College of Engineering?

How well is their Aerospace Engineering program at Syracuse University?

Compared to : FIT, Clarkson, WPI

How about their EE program? & Is it difficult to possibly transfer from aerospace>Electrical? Thanks.

idk but i hate engineering

Good for you. :)

thanks its something im very proud of and hold in high regard

Each of these schools is on the “where GE recruits engineers from.” list from elsewhere in CC.

FIT - has a big weed out problem - 100% of the honor/ap kids from D’sprep school washed out first year.

Clarkson - one of the top Aero schools, along with emery riddle, but extreme north, extreme male, and overall low average of admission leads to a big wash out rate from engineering overall. However, Aero is one of the bright spots, holding steady at around 40 students each year. (5 women, 35 men - which is good for Clarkson) Blogs on this school sound like a primal scream or a crazy/hungrey bear just awaking from hibernation. Comments on www..com slashes this school.

WPI-AERO loses about half of the men and 3/2rds of the women over 4 years: Fresh =40; Senior 18, which is not the case with most WPI majors. Robotics loses everybody by Senior year, while Mech. grows.

Syracuse weed out rate are worrisome, although the Aero department seems less afflicted

Does anyone have an recommendation for 2nd teir engineering school that don’t slash and burn their freshman?
