Anyone here play lacrosse? If you do, do you recommend any tips on getting started, etc.?

I played lacrosse for three seasons and I absolutely adored the game. The reason I quit was because of a knee problem, but thats another story.

I know most lacrosse players will agree with me that conditioning is a crucial part of training and playing. Sprinting, endurance, and weight lifting will all help intensely. Also, I find that running stairs and hills for 10-15 minutes at a time helps a lot.

Also, if you can pick up a stick and just pass against a wall 4-5 times a week, your improvement will be huge. Just passing, catching, cradling, as well as footwork are all major parts of the game.

It would probably be a good idea to join some sort of a summer league or recreation league in the fall. This will give you a good idea of the game and if its something you'd like to pursue.

I hope this helped! PM me if you need any more info.

I sent you a PM. :)
