<p>Are there any good LACs to attend if you want to get into IBanking? Major universities are probably better for this career, but I hate big schools. Also, does IBanking require a MBA or does a BA in finance or economics suffice?</p>
<p>Amherst...you could definitely jump into a firm with a BA, although an MBA wouldn't hurt. It just depends on what you want to do.</p>

<p>we, LACs area well represented at investment banking firms, with Williams and Amherst being particularly well net-worked. All the major firms recruit on campus and summer internships are very common.</p>
<p>Eventually, you will need an MBA to move up the ladder, but the current conventional wisdom is that it's a good idea to work for 2-3 years before graduate school. So in that light, many entry level positions are geared toward BA's.</p>
