It is frustrating, but I must say that Lafayette’s acceptance letters are lovely and worth the wait. Good luck everyone!
I’m currently a student at Lafayette and they only send out acceptances via snail mail. Acceptances should be sent out by the end of this week
^^ and that’s just for domestic students, international applicants (as said earlier in this thread) will get an email first a couple days after domestic acceptances are sent out and then a letter later on
@impatientmom I talked to an admissions officer and he told me that there would be nothing on the portal, it would be sent thru snail mail. (For domestic students)
Just heard from my friend who is a current freshman that works at admissions that letters will be mailed tomorrow.
Good luck everyone!!!
Ahhh im so excited! I hope we all do well!
If they are being mailed tomorrow, when do you think we’ll receive them in the mail?
@gershwinfan it really depends. what state do you live in, and do you live near a metro area?
They will probably arrive on Monday for most people. I doubt that they would arrive the next day unless you live a few miles away.
Thank you! I live in New Jersey so hopefully it’ll come soon. Good luck to all!
I live in Cali, I looked it up and it says it’ll take between 3 days to a week. (So if any of you are on the westcoast that’s how long it should probably take)
I wonder if you can call and ask for the decision over the phone as opposed to waiting for mail.
@2021USA123 They would probably only offer that option if your letter didn’t arrive in a reasonable amount of time.
If you sign up to get usps notice notifications (free service) online you get a picture of all your mail in transit as soon as the post office scans it. You can see if it’s a business envelope or a larger envelope that acceptances typically come in.
@13579ep oooh I wouldn’t want to do that, if I were to get rejected I would spend time knowing it was a rejection before it arrived.
@13579ep I know this is super annoying but could you go through the steps on going about that? I scoured the website to try to find out how to do it AND went to the post office and they said I couldnt
It is official, Lafayette just tweeted the letters are going in the mail today. Best of luck everyone!
It has a red circle next to “verify online identity” and won’t let me enroll in informed delivery and won’t tell me how to verify it
Apparently “informed delivery” is only available in certain areas right now. You can sign up for usps.com and get notice of any packages on their way to you but that might not include large envelopes, I don’t know.
