By the way, scroll down to the bottom of the email at the picture of Lafayette’s face. It says “you make us who we are”.
Click on his face!! It takes you to a link that’s says stuff like “Your destination is in sight.” and “Cur Non means Why Not. Why Not make new discoveries here? Why Not link your talent to our success? Why Not think of us as home?”
The idea isn’t in the 5, 7, or even ten people that say they received the email compared to thousands of applicants. If they all say they received the email, there’s a possibility it was sent to everyone. If some people said yes and others said no then I would agree, however, when all the sample confirms they received the email, you can’t put much hope. I received the email and I truly hope it means something because I nearly lost all hope in getting admitted at any college. But we just have to stay reasonable and just ask. Can any of the domestic students call the admissions office tomorrow to check?
I emailed the tour guide I had last spring who works in admissions. She said it was just “sent to encourage people to learn more about Lafayette through both the Facebook group and through campus visits.”
It was really too general of an email to mean anything. I’m sure it was sent to everyone. They want you to keep them in mind as results start coming in but they aren’t giving anything away.
Hey I was wondering if everyone could post their GPA and there SAT/ACT test scores. This is my top school and I’m really nervous. Just wanted to see what other applicants profiles look like. Thank you so much
Lol @24_24 I don’t think it’s healthy. You’re going to see stats that look better than yours and you’re going to feel bad. At this point just have faith in yourself.
You can look up their common data set and they publish the middle stats of who they accept each year all over the place. That is a much better way to see where you land than asking for stats from a small pool of applicants on a board that is generally pretty schewed to higher stats. Doesn’t represent the body of applicants at all. The only people who can interpret your application in context of admission is the admission staff.
