@greeneandh do you actually have to sign up, or just sign in and if you’re let in, you’re in???
@ivyleaguehoe (love that name LOL) You go to the link @baylin posted, enter your portal username and pass, and it will have your information logged in and etc. you’ll probably need to put your phone number in and other silly questions, but they do state your full name, fall 2018, and other stuff. once you fill everything out, click register and they should send a confirmation email.
It let me sign up. I guess I’m in…?
I don’t think it’s 100% indicative of acceptance because I was waitlisted from F&M ( I was able to sign up for their admitted student day).
So this could also mean a waitlist offer :(|)
Please don’t get excited because it’s not confirmed, but hopefully it means good news. I know with gettysburg I was able to sign in a couple of days before I got my packet in the mail.
Until we have someone where it doesn’t work, I’d take it with a grain of salt.
Sorry but I would not assume anything is an indicator of admissions other than an acceptance letter in the mail.
Good luck everyone.
I really hope I get in! 32 ACT and 3.9 GPA. Pretty strong essays and probably pretty good letters of reccomendation. My interview went great and I’ve visited Lafayette 3 times so I think I’ve shown interest. I was homeschooled for half of sophomore year due to a severe concussion so my grades suffered from that, but now I’m working on a research capstone on concussions for my school (15 seniors were chosen to do a capstone). Have other ECs including dance, NHS, work, and volunteering. I really hope lafayette sees my passion and that I get in even though my scores aren’t that great!!
@baylin one person couldn’t do it, but that’s all the evidence lolol
We have already tried this before and probably everyone could register.
D was able to sign up for admitted students day.
I feel like it would be kinda lame to register for the admitted students day if you have no intention of actually going. Cause now theyre going to be expecting a lot more kids to show up than their actually will be.
DD could sign in for Admitted Students Day…but not assuming anything until there is a letter in hand!
For those of you that were able to sign up, did you receive a confirmation email afterwards?
@taverngirl Yes, I received one immediately.
I’d not read into ability to sign into admitted students day. I’ve seen this “trick” on several of the school CC boards and everyone always seems to be able to sign-up. I don’t think this is something schools worry about restricting.
For Gettysburg, some people weren’t able to sign up and they ended up not getting in.
I haven’t actually signed up because I don’t want to sign up and not go, but I mostly wanted to check if others could at least access it.
Fingers crossed, Laf is my current first choice.
I wasn’t able to sign up for U Rochester’s admitted students day earlier this morning. I got my acceptance letter a few hours ago and was able to sign up since then.
Some schools do really restrict them to only the admitted students. and even not all these schools fall in for that trick.
@baylin The confirmation email has an option to cancel your registration.
Can anyone call the admission office and ask them whether being able to log in to “Experience Lafayette College” is a good sign or not?

and What is the decision release date specifically?
