<p>My kid found both on the Craiglist. The down side is you may need to move twice in a year, but she got to live at 312 for 950/mon. A lot of people go study abroad either fall or spring semester.</p>

<p>oldfort, at what point in the year did your D sign the sublease contract and what made her decide to go that route?</p>

<p>Thanks for that info Oldfort! My son and his friend just started looking. They called bunch of places and plan to visit. I read elsewhere on CC that by fall break all decent accommodations close by are gone. It doesn’t help that they are busy with homework and other stuff.</p>

<p>My daughter lived in a sorority sophomore year, so she didn’t have to do anything freshman year. She studied abroad fall of junior year. She got her Junior spring sublet spring of sophomore year. </p>

<p>Our deal with our kid was she could live any where she wanted, but I would only pay up to Cornell’s housing cost. She liked to live well and she had a budget, so she managed it by subletting.</p>
