Language placement tests

Cool letter prettyfish! Do you think they send one to the other languages like Italian, French, Spanish...

Yeah zant, it would be really cool if you could work in Spain for the summer. Those programs are awesome

wow verrryyy nice you should take them up on the offer!

ah..i just took the french test, i want my answer now

Do they email us with the placements? Or is it through letter?

Guys,

Is there any grammar on the test, or is it kind of "applied language" - translation, questions-answers?
I'm not asking about anything particular, just wondering what's covered.

You'd better take it and find out. The deadline's today.

Hmm, I'm a parent, actually. :)

S will take a test during the freshman week. He is bilingual (almost), so the "applied" part should be easy enough. But I'd like to know if I should dig into my old book boxes and get a grammar book. He only knows the terminology in English ("noun", "clause", that kind of stuff...)

marmat, there are some tests which must be taken online today - just doubly checking that you're aware. But based on what I saw on the Spanish test, your S won't need to know that sort of 'past participle' 'present progressive' etc terminology .

Thanks mea!

He can't take the online test, and thanks a lot - no more terminology worries for me...
