Language Proficiency Question - Common Application

Hi! I am recording my language proficiency, which is essentially that I am fully fluent in English and Arabic.

  • If I check 'first language' for English, should I check anything else (speak, read, write, spoken at home) or is it implied?
  • Should I also check 'first language' for Arabic or not because 'first' implies only one? If not, I'd check speak, read, write, and spoken at home.

Thanks!

If you speak/read/write/speak at home, check those boxes.

FWIW, when I applied to college last year, I listed 3 languages as my first language, since my father spoke one language to us kids, my mother spoke a second, and the language of my country of birth was a third.

Thanks, @skieurope! I ended up checking everything for both of them (except English - spoken at home) lol.
