When applying to colleges does intro to programming consider to be a language
I have taken 3 years of spanish and I am no a senior I am considering either taking this class or to take spanish again. Which will look better? SInce intro programming is considered a harder level class but spanish shows I stuck with it…???Does Uconn require a language to graduate? Also do they really care about if you took a language for 4 years?
Any advice will be appreciated
Also does 4 years vs 3 years even increase your chance
Programming languages will/should not count towards the foreign language requirement. I took four years of French during high school (including AP) and that enabled me to “test” out of the language requirements at UConn. But you should be fine with just three years of Spanish.
No, that won’t count toward the language requirement but you are fine with the 3 years of Spanish.
What level have you reached, 3 or 4?
You should be OK if you reached level 3 and are aiming for UConn, but if you want higher ranked/private colleges reaching level 4 would help.
Thanks for all the responses last year i was in level 3 Spanish and Now i am taking Uconn Spanish
