I took Spanish 1 in 8th grade, but I dropped that credit (doesn't appear anywhere on my transcript.) My school requires 2 years of language, but I know that 3+ is preferred by colleges. I finished Spanish 2 in 9th grade, and going to finish Spanish 3 this year as a sophomore. So, technically, I've taken 3 years of language but only two credits will appear on my transcript. Do you think that is adequate enough for most universities and colleges? I'm not too great at Spanish so I'm looking to make room for other classes (AP chem, Physics, etc.) in my schedule by not having to take Spanish 4 in junior year.
Any input?
Thanks a bunch!

Selective colleges are looking for proficiency, rather than specific levels. For instance, can you speak and read Spanish proficiently?
