I would really like to get a foreign language exemption for college. I took up to French 3 (porbably forgot most) and Latin 2. Would it be possible to score a 650 on the Latin SAT2 or a 670 on the French one?

670 french not likely. I looked at a real SAT II french test and took 3 years of french in HS and I wouldnt have a chance. grammar is too hard. But, the reading comprehension is ok.

Depends on how strong your preparation was... Also, you say you forgot most, but usually with a couple good hours with a prep book should jog your memory, so don't worry too much about having forgotten.

And my case was somewhat the opposite of backfire... I took the test with no specific SAT prep in the middle of my 3rd year, and I struggled understanding some of the reading comp, mainly due to some odd vocab and idioms, but I flew through the grammar. I ended up scoring 760 (French Reading, not listening... I took listening 4th year and scored 800 - I think it's easier), so it's definitely possible depending on how strong your background is.

Just to let you know, I went to a normal public school, and my native language is Japanese, so I didn't have a native French background nor did I have crazy schooling, so it's absolutely possible for you too^^

I think if I took one itd be the Latin SAT2 just because it was easier for me than French. I wish UVA didnt require 4 semesters of language...
