thats also the problem with basketball shorts, there isnt a belt loop to attach the lanyard to

why don’t you just put your keys on a keychain and keep them in your pocket?

Yes, it is very easy to spot a freshman when they’re wearing a lanyard that the school provides for them (I don’t know about your school, but my school gave away lanyards attached to their dorm room key, so every freshmen who lived on campus had one) around their neck. Do people care? No, not really, but we’ll just see that you’re a freshman, so take that for what it’s worth.

I was a freshman last year, and wore my lanyard around my neck when i was in my dorm, just cause of the convenience of it, and no one cared. But when I stepped outside my dorm, I would put it in my backpack, just cause it was annoying to have my ID and keys hanging off my neck. You’ll probably be carrying around a backpack a lot, so just put your lanyard in there. Most people have lanyards (it’s just that freshmen had their dorm lanyards, and upperclassmen had just a standard school one you can buy at the bookstore).
