I just got a dell inspiron 1525, and am now looking for a good case/bag for it. Does any one have any suggestions?

I got a Belkin...it's really super nice.

Belkin 17 Laptop Messenger Bag > Non-Wheeled Computer Cases > Business - eBags

Targus | 25th Anniversary Promotion
I found this sale, can anyone say whether or not these are a good deal?

Cant comment on the specific bags, but I know Targus makes good bags.

Just search for reviews...most reviews are a pretty good sign of whether or not it's a good bag. Make sure you really shop around and get what you want before you buy.

you cannot get any better than sfbags .com - check it out (my family has them and I just ordered one, so this is an informed recommendation).

Those bags look fantastic, but browsing through the site it seems that they're significantly out of my price range.

My D got a nice Janspoty laptop bag at Journeys yesterday for $20 on their summer sale. Also if you live near a Vanity Fair outlet they have plent of Jansport laptop messengers and backpacks for cheap.

^JanSport is incredible...I have a JS backpack that I've had since early middle school that still looks almost new.

Does anyone know if laptop sleeves are actually any good? It seems like a convenient way to just stick your laptop in your normal bag while protecting it, but I'm not sure if it offers enough protection. I don't plan on bringing my laptop with me everywhere.

I was looking at Belkin ones for my Dell XPS.

I use a laptop sleeve and haven't had any problems... It seals all the way around the laptop, so it offers more protection than a backpack (which leaves the top exposed) and it's made with the same material (neoprene) that backpacks use in their laptop compartments. The only thing that might offer more protection in an actual laptop case.

hey i am too using the same laptop as of yours and for this the case which I am using I purchased that from south-pak…I found it really good customized bag…You can visit here:

I had heard a great piece of advice regarding laptop back packs which makes a lot of logical sense. When you purchase one of the well know backpacks designed specifically for a laptop you are in fact “advertising” the fact that you have a large piece of electronics in your backpack more often than not. This makes it easy on the local campus thieves to target the BP they want to steal. A more traditional BP or the aforementioned sleeves are a better solution.I have also been told by current students that they like the sleeve as sometime they move around in the dorms and take their laptop but do not want to carry their BP and the sleeve helps protect the laptop.
