Laptop for a business student

I am planning to buy a new laptop soon and was wondering if I should get a PC or MAC?
Is there a preferred one if you're planning to major in business?
Also, If PC what type of company do you recommend? I have Dell right now and the laptop quality is absolutely terrible.

No, you are not going to be running any hefty software as a business student. All you need is the ability to run MS Office, skype, and other non-tasking software so any decent quality notebook should do.

If you want MAC, get a macbook air, as for PC, get whatever is popular right now with Dell or HP or Sony.

Just purchased a high end Dell laptop for college and I’ll be majoring in business.

Never had a problem with Dell myself. Do not go Mac unless you really can’t live without it. Most business schools suggest a Wondows operating system for accessibility reasons. All of their software and programs are designed for Windows specifically, but there are options if you want a Mac. Most businesses use Windows so it’s much easier.
