<p>My D has a Mac but she had a few computer class that needed PC OS. She could have used the computer lab for this class or the library but we opted to buy her a Microsoft surface. It helped in a lot with easy portability and made this much easier for her. I guess it really depends on your course work. My D is a business major. </p>
<p>Thanks lefty1. That’s what I was afraid of. Windows might be a safer route for my S.</p>
<p>He’d rather have a Mac himself, but as you mentioned, it’s more likely there will be Windows Apps that they’ll need rather than the other way around. </p>
<p>yes, it’s actually just been one class so far that she had an issue with. But she enjoys the surface so its been a big help to have both for her. </p>
