<p>Just bought DS a CSI dorm insurance policy. If we have laptop "tracker" software installed and the laptop is stolen they will waive the deductible if it is stolen.</p>
<p>Does anyone have this kind of software and/or know if an inexpensive brand?</p>

<p>My son actually installed something just like that ^ on our laptop - for free. He’s taking a class at PSU this fall. Note the $39 charge for lo-jack.</p>
<p>Slightly off topic
We bought the CSI insurance for our daughter. I doubt she installed the software (despite our advice to do it). But, when she spilled coffee all over her laptop they replaced it with zero hassle.</p>
