I accidentally made a mistake on the TAG…I thought I was just suppose to put classes that were only UC transferable. I have 3 classes that were lower division and non-transferable. Is it a huge deal and if so what should I do?

Email the campus and let them know.

How did you mess that up? I mean, it says on the TAG on numerous occasions that you need to list ALL courses, regardless of transferability.

Yes it is a big deal, your TAG could be rejected for not listing all courses. As Laringa said, I would call the UC immediately.

When do we get the official rejection/acceptance e-mail? Is it during march? Or sooner?

For TAG? Between Nov. 1-15. For UCSB and UCSD you won’t know until mid March-May 1st. Those schools need Fall grades before making a decision. You’ll still get an email from UCSB and UCSD in November, but it’ll just be a mass email telling you to make sure to complete Math and English and the other requirements, etc.

For general admission: Mid March-May.

I feel horrible because I didn’t know about the TAG program. I’m a little unclear, this program allows you access to any UC you want (that is participating of course) as long as you meet the requirements? Or do they just guarantee that you’ll be accepted into at least one?

^^^ That’s the gist of it, yes. You’re allowed a TAG for one of the seven participating campuses as long as you meet specific requirements. Each campus has their own requirements. When you TAG to a campus and hold your end of the bargain by completing all of the requirements for that specific campuses’ TAG then… you’re in! :)

March-May seems like an eternity…its torture for us CCers

Just to add here, One contributor here has written that about 1/2 of all people who get their TAG revoked had it happen because they failed to meet silly things like getting transcripts in on time. They’re not kidding when they give you a deadline to submit various forms, and its sad to see someone lose their guarantee over such a simple thing.

@mikemac, do we submit transcripts after the decision?

@emprex yup!

emprex, you can find deadlines on the admission website of each campus; here, for example, is the link to UCSD [Application and Admission Timeline: Transfer Students](Transfer Students) I believe that after each campus (both your TAG campus and others you may apply to) receive your app they will send you info on how to access your records and check requirements on their website.
