When is the last day to accept loans? I accepted grants and don't want to take out the loans unless absolutely necessary. I am still a little unsure about the cost of attendance I hear from 2,600 up to 6,500 just for tuition. Does anyone know what it is? I will be a freshmen in the fall. One final question I have read up on the loans and I narrowed down by options to the federal perkins loan and subsidized staffard loan ( both if necessary ) which is better choice better down the road. I know perkins loans is 5% fixed interest rate and just read that the staffard loan is 3.4%. Any help!!

Federal Loans

If you are a full time undergraduate, your tuition is: $2,826

[Tuition and Fees at CSULB](http://www.csulb.edu/depts/enrollment/registration/fees_basics.html)

This does not include your cost of living. Will you commute, rent, or dorm?

I’m not sure there is a “last day” except the end of the semester. No where I’ve looked has said anything about a deadline for loans. But if you want to be safe, you’ll be okay waiting to accept until the actual start of classes.

I wasn’t eligible for the perkins loan, so I haven’t done any research on it. But if you have the option for a subsidized stafford loan I believe thats the best choice. No interest until you leave school. The unsubsidized does accrue interest while attending, so make sure you pick the right one.

I’m pretty sure there is no deadline to accept loans. jrairship, is right tuition right now is around $2,900, although it is expected to increase again, I doubt it will reach anywhere near $6,500.

The $2,826 is tuition per semester, $5,652 per year.
