Last minute addition --> late recs/transcript

<p>So I decided to add a school to my list over break (i'm a tad bit indecisive..) </p>

<p>The deadline is Jan 2nd. My transcript will not be send out till the 2nd-3rd and the teacher recs will not be sent out until the 3rd-4th - but all of my materials including test scores will be in on time. Also, I live very near the school so most mailed materials should get there in a day or two at the most. Do you think the lateness will negatively affect my chances?</p>

<p>It depends. I know someone who got deferred because he submitted in something just a day later.</p>

<p>was it his app though, or transcript/rec? i know sending in the things youre directly responsible for is definately bad</p>

<p>You should be fine so long as your application is postmarked before the deadline.</p>
