Last minute app to Georgetown?

Hello! I am in a bit of a conundrum, and hopefully you wonderful people can help me out.

My dad wants me to throw out a last minute app to Georgetown because it’s such a good school and because I have an interest in IR (definitely not dead set on IR though). To be honest, I really have not done any research into what the Gtown app requires because I have been up to my eyeballs in college apps for the last month (Submitted 14 apps in Dec, and 17 overall with 2 more set to go out before January 15th), so when I started looking at the app today, it started to occur to me that I may not have enough time for this. I feel confident that I can write the essays in time, but the real question is whether or not I can get the recommendations under control. I was poking around and it seems that Georgetown expects a personalized rec, but I don’t think at this late date I can actually expect that from a teacher. Can he just attach the same letter he used for CA? Same thing for my GC, I hope? Anything else that I’m forgetting that would prevent me from/hinder me in applying this late in the game?

Thank you so much! Sorry for the wall of text.

I think my counselor just attached the generic letter of rec from both my teachers, and it seemed to work; I got in.

Thank you so much for responding! That’s a good idea - maybe I’ll just shoot my GC an email and ask if she can send in my teacher’s rec, he’s moved schools so he’s a bit harder to get in touch with.

Anyone else have any experience with this? I’ve been spoiled by the convenience of CA. :stuck_out_tongue:

When you submit the first part of your application, you create an account with Georgetown. From that account, you invite recommenders to send letters. You type in their name and email and it sends them an email request. It doesn’t need to be a personalized rec, they just respond to the email in the way that the email outlines.
