my school just alerted me today that I would be taking the PSAT on Wednesday. Usually only the Juniors take it, but they are letting me and 2 other sophomores take it instead of some other standardized test! Anyways, I only have less than 2 days to prepare so does anyone have suggestions (besides taking the PSAT practice test)??? Especially with vocabulary because that is what I am the worst at of all the different portions of the test.

Don’t prepare. See what score you get naturally. Then you’ll know how prepared you are for next year when it counts.

Well, you’ll still see how much you need to improve irregardless of whether or not you prepare for the first test.

I got a 218 sophomore year and I literally fell asleep halfway through. You’ll be fine.

Don’t listen to the first two. You have 1 chance to take this test for real in Junior year for Merit and that is it. Use this opportunity to takes a real PSAT wisely :)

The PSAT you take next year will be a different format than the one you will be taking tomorrow. The SAT is changing effective March 2016, but the PSAT will change next October. So….while taking the test tomorrow will give you an idea of where you stand for the SAT, it will not help as much as usual for the PSAT. If you score well, you should consider taking the SAT fall of your Jr year, before the exam format changes.
